UNDATED – The Casper Valor and Spearfish Post 164 played a twin bill at Black Hills Energy Stadium in Spearfish on Wednesday.
In game 1, Hogan Tystad struck out 12 batters as the Spartans rolled to a 12-0, five-inning win. Kaidon Feyereisen helped lead Spearfish with 5 R.B.I., courtesy of a three-run homer.
In game 2, Casper jumped out early on Spearfish, scoring seven runs in the first inning and never looking back en-route to an 8-6 win.
Meanwhile, Rapid City Post 22 opened up tourney play in Omaha by going 1-1.
In their first game, the Hardhats scored a 10-3 win over Kearney.
In their second game, Bryant, Arkansas scored the win, scoring seven runs in the sixth inning, en-route to a 7-2 victory.
