Lindsey Lee (Papenfuss) Taylor

Lindsey Lee (Papenfuss) Taylor, 46, of Richardson, ND, passed away on October 22, 2023, at CHI St. Alexius Hospital, Dickenson, ND, surrounded by her loving family.

Lindsey was born on July 19, 1977, to Keith Papenfuss and Leslie Bertolotto at Sturgis Hospital. She grew up with two older brothers. Lindsey attended school in Sturgis and local areas and graduated from Lead-Deadwood High School in 1996. She was married to Brent Taylor for 20 years, to this union three children were born. Her family and friends brought endless light to her life, and she loved and cherished every moment spent with them.

Lindsey made her home in Richardton, ND the last 13 years with her family by her side. Lindsey worked as a Certified Nurses Aid at Richardton Health Center. She always expressed compassion, empathy, and care to every one of her patients. She was memorable to all of her patients and coworkers for all of her hard work, bubbly personality, and colorful scrubs.

Lindsey most enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling to new places. She also indulged in several hobbies including crafting, sewing, gardening, canning, and mostly enjoyed cooking. Some of the best dishes she made were Swedish meatballs, knoephla soup, chicken quesadillas, and frogeye salad, which were always homemade from scratch. She was always planning and looking forward to the next big family trip. She cherished the moments of laughter when having family game nights, good conversation while sharing a homecooked meal with loved ones and doing karaoke in the garage. During the warm months of the year, she loved to take Sunday motorcycle rides with her husband, camping on the weekends, and hosting barbeques with the best appetizers and entrees. Her most frequently requested side was her potato salad, which only tastes the exact same when prepared by her. She was a collector of Dallas Cowboys merchandise, anything Disney, gnomes, and shoes. Her homecooked meals will be forever missed by her family and anyone that ever had the pleasure of dining in her kitchen.
