Load of bentonite catches fire at Tilford early Wednesday

STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis fire crews joined others in responding to a semi-trailer on fire early Wednesday morning.

The truck was hauling a load of bentonite when it caught fire on I-90 near Tilford.

No injuries were reported, but the trailer was heavily damaged.

Sturgis, Piedmont and Black Hawk all responded to the trailer fire at the eastbound on ramp at Tilford.
