STURGIS, S.D. – – Wareing Motors is announcing its annual Food Drive, a community initiative designed to support local families in need this holiday season and beyond.
This year, Wareing Motors is taking a slightly different approach to their traditional food drive by collecting monetary donations instead of food items.
Customers can round up their purchases at the parts and service departments, and Wareing Motors will match these donations up to $10. Additionally, the dealership will donate $100 from every vehicle sold between Black Friday and New Year’s Day towards their goal of $5,000 per store.
The funds raised from the Sturgis location will be donated to the Sturgis Kiwanis Food Pantry, while the funds from the Belle Fourche location will go to the Belle Fourche Ministerial Association’s Compassion Cupboard.
“We believe that by collecting monetary donations, we can provide maximum flexibility for the Compassion Cupboard to meet the specific needs in our community,” said Jim O’Byrne, GM at Wareing Motors Belle Fourche. “This approach allows them to purchase the most needed items and efficiently distribute them to those in need.”
Wareing Motors encourages everyone to participate in this year’s Food Drive. By donating, a significant impact on the lives of local families right here in our own communities can be made.
“Every dollar counts,” said Tim Kugler, GM at Wareing Motors Sturgis. “Your contribution, no matter the size, will help the Kiwanis Food Pantry stock their shelves and provide meals for those who rely on the food bank to feed their families and themselves.”
