STURGIS, S.D. – We have learned of the passing of Dr. George Jenter, a long time medical professional who served the community of Sturgis for many years.
Jenter’s educational background shows he graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor’s in science. Then he attended the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Mo., from 1968 until 1972, Jenter took an internship in Kansas City at Lakeside Hospital from 1972 to 1973.
He started practicing medicine in Sturgis in 1973.
Before that, Dr. Jenter spent three years as a team physician with the Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL.
Dr. Jenter passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Sturgis. He was 75.
