RAPID CITY, S.D. – In Cross Country action Friday, Sioux Falls Christian won both the boys and girls team titles.
The Charger boys won with 93 points and the girls finished in first with 30 points. In the boys, RC Stevens took second and Sturgis placed third. In the girls team standings, Rapid City Stevens placed second and Laramie was third. Sturgis placed fifth.
Winning the boys individual race was Luke Rupert of Hill City, who finished in a time of 15:35.56. Grady Loos of Rapid City Stevens was second and Peyton Cast of Douglas was third. The top placing Scooper was Ty Petrocco in 7th.
Winning the girls race was Peyton VanDeest of Spearfish, finishing in a time of 18:07.61. Corinne Braun of Sioux Falls Christian was second and her teammate Ellie Maddox was third. Top placing Scooper was Iris Zylstra in 23rd.
