RAPID CITY, S.D. —A Rapid City man entered plea of not guilty Friday to charges related to a fatal shooting in February.
Timothy Huante is accused of shooting and killing Dallas Quick Bear inside Teddy’s Sports Grill February 20.
Huante is charged with first-degree murder.
According to a probable cause affidavit, police say Huante admitted to approaching Quick Bear at a high top table, shaking his hand and then removing the firearm from his waistband and shooting him in the head.
If convicted, Huante could face the death penalty or life in prison.
Huante’s next meeting, a non-evidentiary proceeding, will be held on May 25.
