RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City man is being charged with second-degree murder or possibly first-degree manslaughter related to the fatal shooting of Johnathan Odom.
The shooting occurred on February 2 in the parking lot of Family Dollar.
Derrek Brave Heart, 29, had a cash-only bond set at $250,000 Monday.
Brave Heart was indicted by a grand jury on March 13.
Second-degree murder is a Class B Felony, punishable by life in prison and a $50,000 fine. Manslaughter in the first-degree is a class C felony, punishable by up to life in prison and a $50,000 fine.
