Man found dead in Rapid Creek identified Tuesday

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Police have identified the man found Tuesday morning in Rapid City.

Police report he is 29-year-old Anthony DeLeon of Rapid City.

Spokesman Brenden Medina says an autopsy has been conducted and preliminary results have indicated not evidence of foul play. However, Medina says his death is still under investigation and a toxicology report will be conducted over the next two months.

DeLeon’s body was discovered partially submerged in the water near the bridge on North Maple Avenue.
