RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City police arrested a man Saturday for breaking into a residence on Fifth Street and causing a fire.
The man, identified as 40-year-old Julian Garcia of Pine Ridge, was reportedly hiding in the home’s attic when he started his sweatshirt on fire.
The resident of the home called in the fire, not knowing Garcia was there.
Garcia was arrested for second degree burglary and taken to the Pennington County jail.
