Man killed in crash at Wall identified

RAPID  CITY, S.D. – The highway patrol has identified a 73-year-old man who died Friday morning from injuries sustained in a single vehicle crash in Wall, SD.

Preliminary crash information indicates John Wilson Whaley of Pierre,the driver of a 1929 Ford Model A, was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 near mile marker 110 when it departed its lane to the left.

Whaley overcorrected to the right and entered a yaw. The vehicle crossed the shoulder, entered the north ditch, tripped and rolled. Whaley was ejected from the vehicle and was declared deceased at the scene.
