SPEARFISH, S.D. – The South Dakota Highway Patrol has identified a 22-year-old man who died in a single vehicle motorcycle crash Monday evening 10 miles south of Spearfish, SD.
The patrol says preliminary crash information indicates Brendan S. Rebsom was the driver of a 2014 BMW motorcycle that was traveling on US Highway 14A near mile marker 21.
The patrol says Rebsom failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, lost control and left the roadway down into a wooded embankment.
Rebsom became separated from his bike and sustained fatal injuries. He was wearing a helmet.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
