WHITEWOOD, S.D. – Police in Whitewood tried to pull over a driver during a traffic stop but it led to a brief car chase on Saturday.
The Whitewood police department was assisted by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, the Spearfish Police Department and South Dakota Highway Patrol.
Police say, the driver of the car, Hunter Baker, fled the scene and was caught a short time later.
The incident is still under investigation.
