Man pleads not guilty to attempted murder in connection with shooting

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City man entered a plea of not guilty this week to attempted First Degree Murder.

Trevon Spotted Eagle, 30, was arrested in early September and is charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a former violent offender. He also faces charges of being in possession of a firearm while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance.

Spotted Eagle is accused of shooting another man in the head. The victim sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

His next court appearance is set for November 4th. He remains in the Pennington County Jail.
