RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Pennington County man who pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and burglary charges is facing time behind bars.
Wednesday, the Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office sentenced Justin Livermont for multiple incidents of domestic violence in 2021.
Livermont was sentenced to 15 years for aggravated assault, plus ten years for second-degree burglary, with five of those suspended.
According to police, Livermont strangled and punched the female victim, knocking out some of her teeth and fracturing her ribs.
The woman also suffered physical, psychological and sexual abuse during their relationship.
