Man, woman from South Dakota arrested after high speed chase in eastern Wyoming

UNDATED – A Deadwood man and a Rapid City woman have been arrested following a high-speed chase in Wyoming.

According to a Wyoming Highway Patrol release, troopers tried to stop a Dodge Ram on U.S. Highway 85 in Hawk Springs, Wyoming for speeding. The vehicle reached speeds over 100 miles per hour while fleeing law enforcement.

Officers observed items being thrown from the vehicle during the chase.

Levi Anderson of Deadwood and Alice Olson of Rapid City, both 27, were arrested after law enforcement used spike strips to disengage the vehicle. The truck stopped near milepost 93 on US 85.

Anderson and Olson both have previous convictions relating to methamphetamine use in Pennington County.
