Marge Plaggemeyer, 82, of Belle Fourche, SD, passed away on August 23 in her sleep at the Rolling Hills Healthcare facility after a lengthy illness.
Marge was born July 15, 1941 in Fargo, ND, to Fred and Delores Klosterman.  After graduating from St. John’s Academy in 1959, Marge moved to Minneapolis, MN to work as a telephone operator.
Marge married James Redinger in 1961 and moved to Lead, SD, where she worked for many years as a cashier for the Circle Foods grocery store. Â Marge and James had two children, son Terry in 1961 and daughter Carla in 1964.
In 1977, Marge married Richard Plaggemeyer and moved to Spearfish, SD, where they spent many years enjoying their home, yard, family, and friends.  After Richard’s passing in 2004, Marge remained in their home for several years before moving to the Garden Hills assisted living facility.  Later, she moved to the Dorset Home nursing home in Spearfish and then to the Rolling Hills Healthcare facility in Belle Fourche.
Marge is survived by one sister, Sharon (Lue) Schweitzer in Arlington, WA, son Terry Redinger in Snohomish, WA, stepdaughter Julie Sellers (Spearfish), stepson Danny Plaggemeyer (Sturgis), grandchildren Sonya Papousek (Lead), Tracy Harwood (Belle Fourche), Daniel Bertalot (Belle Fourche), Danica Redinger (Snohomish), and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Â She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, brothers Gerald, Ronald, and Eugene, stepson Randall, and daughter Carla.
Marge’s family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Rolling Hills Healthcare for the care given to Marge and for treating her like family for the past two years and to Stillwater Hospice for care in recent months.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish at 10:30 am  on September 1, 2023.  Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis, SD following the funeral.
