RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Marshal football team refused to come out of the locker room Saturday night, and their contest with the Billings Outlaws was cancelled.
The cancellation came just minutes before kickoff as fans were in the seats ready to take in some indoor football.
The Marshals posted a statement on social media that announced the cancellation due to the continuous ongoing issues within the A.F.L. and their inability to meet commitments made to the owners, teams, players and coaches.
Steve Titus, owner of the Billings Outlaws, released the following statement after the cancellation: “It is with regret that I inform our Outlaws Family of the Rapid City Marshals refusing to play tonight’s game. Their refusal to play is due directly to the incompetence, lies and deceit by the current A.F.L. front office.”
