BISMARCK, N.D. – MDU Resources Group Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Travis Jacobson to vice president of regulatory affairs, effective January 13, 2025. Jacobson brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of regulatory affairs to his new role. His collaborative approach and ability to build strong relationships will ensure that the company’s utility subsidiaries continue to navigate the complex regulatory landscape effectively and efficiently.

Jacobson began his career at Montana-Dakota Utilities in 1999 in the financial planning and reporting department. He transitioned to the regulatory affairs department in 2014, where he has taken on positions of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as a director of regulatory affairs.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Minot State University and has completed the Energy Executive Course at the University of Idaho.
