PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Health Department reported 86 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in their Saturday report, as well as 30 probable cases for a total of 116.
There were seven new deaths reported today, with 2 of those deaths out of Meade County and one out of Pennington. The state’s death toll rose to 1,775.
Active cases of the virus dropped by 166 to 2,894. The number of people hospitalized fell by 7 to 145.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County recorded 18 new cases, of which, 8 were listed as probable.
Meade County had 5 new cases with one probable and Lawrence County added 4 new cases with one probable.
Other new cases across the Black Hills area included 2 in Fall River County.
