RAPID CITY, S.D. – Mitchell scored four runs in the sixth inning and went on to win, as they defeated Rapid City Post 22 8 to 2 Thursday night at the South Dakota Class A Legion Baseball Tournament.
The Hardhats were haunted by four errors in the game.
Alex Dietrich and Ryker Henne tallied the lone two hits for Post 22, with Dylon Marsh and Harrison Good scoring the two lone runs.
Landon Waddell got the pitching win for Mitchell. He finished with six strikeouts on the night.
Post 22 moves to the 2:30 game Friday to face Pierre in an elimination game.
