SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Mitchell captured the team title of the State Class A Tennis Tournament Tuesday with Rapid City Christian finishing in second.
Mitchell finished with 499.5 points and the Comets finished with 408.
Yankton placed third, Pierre was fourth and St Thomas More was fifth.
Rapid City Christian crowned one singles champion – Ella Hancock in Flight 1. Hancock defeated Maggie Schaefer of Yankton.
The Comets, with Hancock, also won the Flight 1 Doubles Championship.
Mitchell defeated St Thomas More for the Doubles Flight 2 championship and Mitchell defeated the Comets for Flight 3.
