MOORCROFT, WY – Gypsy Petz’s son had just returned home from the Air Force and was settling back into Moorcroft life when he was the victim of an unfortunate theft.
Someone stole his pickup with his military uniforms and fishing gear inside of it. Also, the pickup itself was a family heirloom with a lot of sentimental value.
“The greatest loss was his 2000 Chevy stepside pickup given to him by his grandfather,” Petz said. “It was in excellent condition. Unfortunately, it was only covered by liability insurance so he will receive $0 for the loss of his treasured pickup.”
The issue now isn’t just finding the thief and replacing the airman’s belongings, but also getting a pickup to use in the interim and with no recovery of his own vehicle likely.
“Hard working and employed, he also serves his country,” says his Mom who is a guidance counselor in the Moorcroft school system. She has started a GoFundMe in hopes the community will support her son who has served his country.
