Monday’s COVID-19 Report – six new deaths; 403 total new cases

PIERRE, S.D. – State health officials reported 403 total new cases of COVID-19 Monday, with 11 of those considered as probable.

Active cases totaled 5,483 Monday and there were 205 hospitalizations.

There were six new COVID-19 related deaths reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,241.

Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County had 83 total new cases with 26 of those listed as probable.

Meade County had the next highest amount with 16 total cases, of which, 4 were listed as probable.

Lawrence County added 10 new cases and Butte County tallied 9.

Elsewhere, Fall River County had 5 new cases, Oglala Lakota reported 3 and Custer  County listed 2.
