RAPID CITY, S.D. – In their Monday update, Great Plains Fire dispatch listed six fires that started on Sunday.
All six of the fires are also listed as either contained or controlled as of today.
The Bobcat Fire northwest of Custer was half an acre and was listed as contained.
The Bogus Creek Fire west of Norris Peak Rd burned a tenth-of-an-acre, the Cold Spring Fire 2 miles northwest of Buckhorn, Wyoming burned a tenth of an acre, The Beaver Spring Fire near the Black Fox Campground burned a quarter of an acre, the Schlup Fire near Inyan Kara Mountain Rd burned a tenth of an acre and the Road Fire in the panhandle of Nebraska also burned a tenth of an acre.
The cause of the all the fires were under investigation.
Fire crews were busy all weekend responding to fires. More than a dozen small fires were reported around the area on Saturday.
