Monday’s COVID-19 Report – 366 new cases, five new deaths

PIERRE, S.D. – The Monday COVID-19 report from the Department of Health showed 366 new cases with 85 of those listed as probable.

Active cases totaled 7,336 and the number of people hospitalized was down from Friday to 244.

There were five new deaths reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,438. Of the new deaths, two were out of Pennington County.

New cases around the Black Hills area included 26 in Pennington County, 9 in Meade County and 7 in Lawrence County.

Elsewhere, Custer County reported 7, Fall River County added 4, Butte County listed 3 and Harding County noted 2 new cases.
