PIERRE, S.D. – State health officials reported 383 new cases of COVID-19 in their Monday report, with 96 of those listed as probable.
Monday’s report includes numbers from Friday. Saturday and Sunday’s numbers will be included in Tuesday’s update.
Active cases were down 116 today to 7,588. The number of people hospitalized dropped 19 to 184.
There were four new deaths reported, sending the state’s death toll since the pandemic began to 2,129. New deaths were reported out of Butte, Oglala Lakota, Lawrence and Deuel counties.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County had 60 total new cases with 11 of those listed as probable.
Meade County added 10 confirmed cases and 2 probable cases Monday.
Lawrence County reported 7 new cases and there were 2 in Butte County.
Elsewhere, Custer County had 4 and both Fall River and Oglala Lakota each reported 3 new cases.
