Monday’s COVID-19 Report – 50 new confirmed cases; 15 probable

PIERRE, S.D. – In a very quiet COVID-19 report Monday, state health officials reported 65 new cases, of which, 15 were listed as probable.

No new deaths were reported Monday, keeping the state’s total death toll at 1,778.

Active cases were down slightly to 2,828 and the number of people hospitalized remained relatively stable at 126.

Across the Black Hills area, there were 11 confirmed cases and 2 probable cases.

Pennington County had 8 confirmed cases and one probable case. The cumulative total in Pennington rises to 12,379 and there are 320 active cases.

Meade County recorded three confirmed cases Monday, sending the total to 2,478. Active cases are at 67.

Lawrence County recorded one probable new case. The total in Lawrence is 2,752 and there are 44 active cases.
