PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 156 new cases of COVID-19 Monday with 32 of them considered probable.
The numbers are from two days of testing after no report was issued on Easter Sunday.
Active cases were up slightly to 2,485 while the number of people hospitalized dropped to 88 from 104 on Saturday.
No new deaths were reported, keeping the state’s death toll at 1,938.
Pennington County added 4 new cases Monday, sending their cumulative total to 13,279.
Lawrence County had 3 new, confirmed cases and Meade County had 2 along with one probable case.
Butte County had one new confirmed case. There was one probable new case in Fall River County.
