PIERRE, S.D. – In their Monday update, South Dakota Health officials reported just 30 new COVID-19 cases, with 10 of them considered as probable.
Active cases dropped 33 Monday, to 1,933 and the number of people hospitalized totaled 91.
No new deaths were reported Monday, keeping the state’s death toll at 1,863.
Across the Black Hills area, there were 9 confirmed cases and one probable case.
Pennington County had 8 of the new cases with Lawrence County accounting for the other two.
There were 129 new persons tested reported on Monday, for a new person-tested positivity rate of 23%.
