Monument Health breaks ground on new Box Elder clinic

BOX ELDER, S.D. – In line with growth in Box Elder, Monument Health has broken ground on a new clinic for the community this week.

This clinic will be found near the Liberty Plaza development and will provide primary care services along with urgent care needs.

With this new clinic, there will be four urgent care centers from Monument in the Rapid City area.

They will complement existing locations in Custer, Lead-Deadwood, Sturgis and Spearfish.

An additional clinic is slated to open in Rapid Valley by autumn of 2025.

“It’s important for Monument Health to invest in our local communities and provide access to high-quality care close to home,” said Mark Schulte, Monument Health Vice President of Operations for the Rapid City Market.

“As the needs of the community grow, including supporting the mission at Ellsworth Air Force Base, Monument Health remains committed to being a trusted partner in ensuring the health and well-being of our neighbors.”
