RAPID CITY, S.D. – Monument Health is now offering a Community Certified Nurse Aide Program in hopes of addressing the need for nurses in the community.
The CNA program for the West River Area Health Education Center is funded through a Department of Labor grant that covers all costs in the program for the students.
Training normally takes five to 12 weeks and then students must take and pass a CNA certification exam.
The goal is to certify 108 Certified Nurse Aide’s by 2025. So far, there are 63 students enrolled in the program with 26 students certified.
