RAPID CITY, S.D. – A former television news anchor appeared in Meade County court Friday for a non-evidentiary hearing in an aggravated assault case.
Friday’s court appearance moves Shad Olson’s case one step closer to trial.
Olson is charged with domestic abuse, aggravated assault or strangulation in connection with an incident that took place in February of this year.
The judge granted all motions heard including a motion of discovery for tangible evidence, a motion to disclose witnesses, a motion for expert testimony and a motion for investigation.
The criminal case against Olson is currently set for a status hearing on August 16th. A trial date could also be set on that date.
