GILLETTE, Wyo. – The National High School Finals Rodeo is underway in Gillette and South Dakota cowboys and cowgirls are off to a good start.
Custer’s Jestyn Woodward is currently in the lead in the bull riding, thanks to a 78 point ride on Monday.
Landry Haugen of Sturgis had a runner-up finish on Sunday and is sitting third in the overall standings.
Isabel Risse of Martin is currently fourth in the goat-tying and Newell’s Chad Costello is in third in the saddle bronc.
