SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Northern Hills Invitational Cross Country Meet was held Friday at Jorgensen Park in Spearfish.
Natrona County captured the boys race title with a 51. Bowman County was second and Thunder Basin was third. Sturgis placed fourth.
Winning the race was Patrick Hardesty of Thunder Basin in a time of 15:46.75. Tate Grabow of Hill City was second and Ty Petrocco of Sturgis was third, finishing in a time of 15:58.95.
Winning the girls team title was Spearfish with a 50. Sturgis was second with a 78 and Natrona County finished in third.
Winning the race was Peyton VanDeest of Spearfish in a time of 19:06.17. Kori Keil of Spearfish was second and Thunder Basin’s Carlee Roth was third.
Iris Zylstra of Sturgis was 7th and her teammate Lucy Hamer finished in tenth.
