PIERRE, S.D. – New cases of COVID-19 Friday totaled 213 Friday, with 59 of those listed as probable.
New cases have been holding steady in the 200’s this week as the number of active cases continue to increase. For the third day in a row, active cases have risen and now total 2,480.
The number of people hospitalized remained at 74 for a second day in a row.
One new death was reported, sending the state’s death toll to 1,928.
Across the Black Hills area, there were 19 new cases.
Pennington County had 9 of those, with one of them listed as probable case.
After reporting no new cases yesterday, Lawrence County added 4 new cases and Meade County had 2 new cases.
Other new cases across the Black Hills area included 3 in Custer County and one in Fall River County.
