PIERRE, S.D. – The state health department reported 135 new COVID-19 cases in their Thursday report, with 27 of those listed as probable cases.
Active cases across the state declined by 67 to 1,722, but a dozen new hospitalizations were listed as the total number rose to 115 from 103 on Wednesday.
No new deaths were reported, keeping the state’s death toll at 1,962.
Pennington County added 8 new cases Thursday and there are 159 active cases across the county.
Meade County added six new cases, with one of them considered as probable.
Other new cases across the Black Hills included 2 in Lawrence and one in Custer County.
