PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Health officials reported 164 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, with 19 of those listed as probable cases.
Active cases rose back up over 19-hundred Thursday to 1,948.
The number of people hospitalized dropped by 2 to an even 100.
Eight new deaths were reported, including one in the Black Hills area. That death was out of Lawrence County where there have been a total of 45 since the pandemic began.
Pennington County reported 36 new cases Thursday to send their cumulative total to 12,860.
Meade County added 5 new cases and Lawrence County reported 4.
