PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota health officials reported 99 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday with 13 of those listed as probable. Today’s numbers includes those reported over the weekend.
One new death was reported, sending the state’s death toll to 1,994. The new death reported was a woman from Minnehaha County listed in the 60-69 year age range.
Active cases dropped by 116 to 712 and the number of people hospitalized due to the virus tumbled 11 to 60.
Across the Black Hills, Pennington County added 19 new cases to their cumulative total of 13,775.
Both Meade and Lawrence County each had 3 new cases and Custer County had 5. Butte County reported 2 new cases.
