PIERRE, S.D. – The State Department of Health reported 342 new cases of COVID in their weekly report issued Wednesday.
The total number of hospitalizations decreased to 20 and there were a dozen new hospitalizations reported this week.
Active cases across the state dropped from 289 last week to 243 this week.
There were 7 new deaths among cases, sending the state’s death toll to 3,221.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County saw 37 new cases, Meade County reported 17 and there were 5 out of Lawrence County.
Elsewhere, Oglala Lakota County listed 9 new cases, Custer County had 3, Butte County reported 2 and there was one new case in Fall River County.
