New owners take over Dakotah Steakhouse

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Dakotah Steakhouse opened its doors on June 1, 2011, and quickly became the premier steakhouse in Rapid City and the Black Hills. As they celebrate their 11th anniversary…they also announce a change of ownership.
WR Hospitality out of Sioux Falls has purchased Dakotah Steakhouse in Rapid City and will take over ownership June 1, 2022. With this addition, WR Hospitality expands its portfolio to 20 restaurants and adds to its presence in the Black Hills. They are currently the managing partner of Minerva’s Restaurant and Bar, along with the food and beverage in Custer State Park, the Lodge in Deadwood and the Buglin Bull Restaurant in Custer.
“We are excited to hand the reins over to WR Hospitality and are confident they will continue to offer the high quality of food and service that has made Dakotah Steakhouse a dining destination in the Black Hills” says managing partner Phil Lampert.
Lampert, along with founding partner Peg Seljeskog wish to thank all their loyal employees and customers that have made Dakotah Steakhouse one of the best restaurants in South Dakota and they look forward to a seamless transition to WR Hospitality.
WR Hospitality also commends the previous ownership for their dedication and efforts over the past 11 years that have made Dakotah Steakhouse a memorable dining experience. They plan on keeping the current management and staff, and to carry on the rich traditions of high quality food and reputation for outstanding hospitality that Dakotah Steakhouse has come to represent.
Dakotah Steakhouse is located at 1325 N Elk Vale Road in Rapid City and is currently open 4pm – 9pm Monday through Saturday.
