SPEARFISH, S.D. – A new residential and commercial development in Spearfish is proposed on an approximately 294-acre parcel that includes the Miller Ranch, south of Colorado Boulevard and west of Christensen Drive.
In March, the Spearfish City Council approved a voluntary annexation, and Monday, approved the first reading of a change of zoning request to allow for a multi-phase residential and commercial development, to include approximately 115 acres for single-family housing; 35 acres for duplex/two-family housing; 12 acres for multifamily housing; 14 acres for commercial use; and more than 117 acres of open space.
The public hearing and second reading for the change of zoning will take place April 19.
