RAPID CITY, S.D. — A New York man convicted of killing three people in Rapid City, was sentenced Friday.
Arnson Absolu received three life sentences without the possibility of parole; one for each of the three homicides. The sentences will be served consecutively. In addition, he was fined $50,000 for each count.
Absolu, of the Bronx, New York City, was charged with the August 2020 killings of Ashley Nagy, Dakota Zaiser and Charles Red Willow.
Before handing down the sentences, Judge Robert Gusinsky said that while it will be small comfort to the families, he hopes the memory of what happened to Red Willow, Nagy, and Zaiser will keep some people from ever getting involved with drugs.
