PENNINGTON COUNTY, S.D. — The Johnson Siding Volunteer Fire Department battled a two alarm structure fire late Saturday night.
At approximately 10:45 p.m. Saturday night, fire crews responded to a report of a structure fire on the 2200 block of Pine Meadows Court in unincorporated Johnson Siding.
The first firefighters on the scene found an unoccupied residential structure with a free burning fire, and heavy smoke condition spreading to an adjacent, detached garage.
Temperatures of 12°F were recorded at the scene.
No injuries to Firefighters, civilians or domestic animals were reported. The Red Cross Serving Central and Western South Dakota is assisting the resident.
