SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — South Dakota nurses are paid the second worst, on average, in the nation.

That’s according to the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The average South Dakota nurse is paid nearly $61,000.

California nurses are the highest-paid.

They make, on average, nearly $121,000 a year.
