Tuesday’s COVID-19 report shows 36 new cases

PIERRE, S.D. – The State Health Department released three days’ worth of COVID-19 numbers today.

Today’s update includes numbers from Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The new report listed 34 confirmed new cases and 2 probable cases statewide.

Active cases dropped by 3 from Monday’s report to 151 and the number of people hospitalized decreased by 5 to 26.

No new deaths were reported so the state’s death toll stayed at 2,027.

Across the Black Hills, there were 14 new cases. Pennington County had 11, Lawrence County reported 2 and Butte County had one.

As of Tuesday, 56.36% of the population 12-years-old and above has received at least one dose while 51.84% have completed the vaccination series.
