PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Health Department reported 523 new COVID-19 cases in their weekly report issued Wednesday.
That is up a bit from last week’s 511.
There were 52 total and 14 new hospitalizations over the past week.
Nine new deaths among cases were reported, sending the state’s death toll to 3,133.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County reported 64 new cases, Lawrence County added 10 and Meade County listed 8.
Elsewhere, Fall River County reported 16 new cases, Butte County had 10, Custer County listed 5, Oglala Lakota County showed 8 and Harding County had one new case.
