NISLAND S.D. – A young girls love of reading, play acting and performing in school plays has been transformed into a book filled with adventures on the high seas, pirates, friendships and more in “The Amazing Adventures of Ann Turnner,” by A.J. Wich.
The 16 year-old author began her journey at the age of 13. Living on a small ranch near Nisland, and homeschooled, it provided the perfect environment to begin writing, shares A.J.
A.J. will share her story during books signings set for Fri., September 15 at Crazee Cow Ice Cream in Belle Fourche, S.D., from 3:00-5:00p.m. and Sat., September 16, from 1:00-3:00p.m. at Sturgis Photo & Gifts in Sturgis, S.D. She will also share where her inspiration came from.
Like all authors, A.J. has a process.
While promoting her first book, A.J. is already at work on a sequel and more.
When she isn’t writing or signing books or appearing at the upcoming South Dakota Festival of Books in Deadwood Sept. 22-23, 2023, you can find her playing music or trying to figure out how to ride her donkey, Mike. And of course, reading with some of her favorite authors who have influenced her work; J.K. Rowling, John R.R. Tolkien and Sharon Creech.
“The Amazing Adventures of Ann Turnner,” is available at Barns & Noble, Amazon, Books-A-Million and on Facebook
