PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is combining two more state government agencies.
The Bureau of Administration and the Bureau of Human Resources will merge into one entity. Noem says this “will streamline government processes for state employees and reduce bureaucratic overhead, making us more responsible with taxpayer dollars.”
BOA Commissioner Scott Bollinger is retiring in June. Current BHR Commissioner Darin Seeley will lead the combined organization.
In August of 2020 (Aug. 27, 2020), Noem announced she was combining the South Dakota Departments of Agriculture and Environment & Natural Resources to form the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
