Noem says attacks on Mount Rushmore won’t happen on her watch

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – “Not on my watch.”

That’s what Governor Kristi Noem says if anyone tries to remove the Presidents’ heads from Mount Rushmore.

Noem was responding to a Tweet by radio talk show host Ben Shapiro who sarcastically asked when the “woke historical revisionist priesthood” was “going to insist on blowing up Mount Rushmore.”

The topic apparently came up because of the removal of Confederate statues and even statues of some American presidents and leaders.

President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence are scheduled to go to Mount Rushmore on July 3 for a fireworks display. There has not been a fireworks display at the memorial in over a decade.
